Part 1
Katie Watkins, a student storm volleyball player for two years, now spends her free time studying to be a nurse at DCCC where she says she applies some of the concepts she learned on the court.

“just like volleyball, nursing can be tough,” said Watkins, a 21-year-old tat works in teams with her classmates in problem-based nurses exercises. “I learned that everyone has different strengths and brings something different to the table. I also learned that we have to respect each other.”
Watkins is a May 2012 candidate to receive her associate degree in nursing. She hopes to pursue her B.S.N. at Winston-Salem state university and eventually get her master’s degree.
Setting educational goals and working hard to achieve them brings a great feeling of accomplishment. It builds self-esteem, and increases self-confidence. Education opens up many doors of opportunity that normally would not open up for people.

Student Success statement

Student Success statement
“The secret to achieve true success is found in your daily routine.”
-Author unknown-
I agree with this statement because the habits that you practice daily are going to show, your work quality, and your behavior in your work. If you have good habits in your daily routine then you could expect success in your goals.

How to Always Succeed in school part 8

How to Always Succeed in school
Part 8
·         Many people avoid making decisions their whole lives, so their decisive faculty or mind, the faculty of discrimination, becomes rusty and dies. Such people become totally dependent on others. When we study the four functions of the mind – buddhi, the faculty of decisiveness; ego, the principle of identity; chitta, the storehouse of impressions; and manas, the importer and exporter of sensations and experiences – then we become aware of the power of the will. Will power is something within us that comes forward and says, “Do this. It will be helpful for you.” Training the internal functions helps us understand the decisive faculty of the mind, witout which we cannot be successful.
·         Watch what you do on a daily basis. We become what we do think about. If you think about being a great student-you will become a great student. If you think about being honest-you will be honest. The activities and thought tha t fill your day are keys to living successfully in school and throughout your adult life.

Summary and reflection

SUMMARY:  there was a shootout in a nightclub on Arizona. There was about a dozen people hurt at first, but then the police confirmed that there was 14 people hurt. Then they went to the hospital, however 1 out of 3 suspects got caught and the other 2 disappeared.

Reflection: I think that the action of the three suspects was unbearable because they had no motive and no right to injure those people. They are miserable people and deserved to receive the weight of the law.
